Students can get free prom dresses

DOWNEY - High school girls who are unable to purchase a gown for prom are encouraged to contact the Assistance League of Downey for help.The organization has several prom dresses in different sizes and colors, along with purses, jewelry and gift cards to purchase shoes. The service is free and confidential. Girls should schedule an appointment by speaking to their guidance counselor or call the Assistance League of Downey at (562) 869-0232.
