Street Fair postponed to spring

DOWNEY – The Downey Street Fair has been postponed to the spring, organizers announced this week.

The festival was scheduled to take place Oct. 16 in the Downey High School parking lot.

But in an email Monday, the Downey Chamber of Commerce, which puts on the street fair, said the event was off due to COVID-19 restrictions.

This will mark the second consecutive year the Street Fair has been canceled due to the pandemic.
