St. Raymond’s girls’ “A” volleyball team

St. Raymond’s girls’ “A” volleyball team captured first place in the Southland League of the Los Angeles Archdiocese CYO. The seventh and eighth grade girls completed league play with a perfect 9-0 record, including victories over Our Lady of the Rosary, St. Helen and Our Lady of Fatima in a must-win  game to determine this season’s champion. The Lady Knights rallied from behind to win the second and third sets, winning the match.

“We would like to commend the girls for their commitment throughout the season to strong Christian values, sportsmanship, and outstanding play,” team officials said.
