Sign up for Little League baseball this Saturday

DOWNEY — Northwest Downey Little League will be holding sign-ups this Saturday for its spring baseball season.

Registration is from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Furman Park meeting room.

All children and all levels of ability are welcome. There are six divisions for kids ages 4-13, and a Challenger Division for special needs players ages 6-17.

Registration is $100 for the first child (ages 4-7), $140 (ages 8-12), and $140 (ages 13-18), with discounts for multiple children. Each family will pay a $50 snack shack deposit.

Participation in the Challenger Division is free.

All players are required to participate in one league fundraiser or pay a fee to opt out. A late registration fee of $25 per player will be added for registration after Dec. 1.

Tryouts will be held Dec. 8 and Opening Day is Feb. 23 at Furman Park.
