Second Tyme Around Shop celebrates 40 years today

DOWNEY — The Second Tyme Around Thrift Shop is celebrating 40 years in business Tuesday with expanded hours and cookies for the first 120 customers.

The cookies were made by The Arc and sponsored by Kiwanis.

Operated by the Assistance League of Downey, the store is open today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The thrift store will be giving away tokens of appreciation every Tuesday in April in celebration of Volunteer Month.

The store is located at 11026 Downey Ave. Donations are also welcome.
