RSVPs recommended for Garcia swearing-in

DOWNEY – Reservations are recommended to attend the swearing-in ceremony for Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia, which is taking place Saturday, Feb. 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Columbia Memorial Space Center. Comedian and entertainer Lory Tatoulian will serve as master of ceremonies, while state controller Betty Yee will administer the oath of office.

Several food trucks will be on-site, including In-N-Out, Recess Ice Cream, Belly Bombz and Nacho’s Tacos & Tortas.

The space center will also be open for visitors, free of charge.

“Although I was officially sworn into the State Assembly in a ceremony at the State Capitol in December, I want to take this day to celebrate with my communities and friends,” Garcia said. “I hope to see you there.”
