Robert Stiles, minister and realtor, passes away
DOWNEY –Robert “Bob” Lee Stiles, an ordained minister and realtor, died Jan. 20. He was born March 6, 1941 in Wheeling, West Virginia, the fifth child of Grant and Elizabeth Stiles. He received a bachelor’s degree from Heidelberg College, and two master’s degrees from Eden Theological Seminary and Andover Newton Theological School.
He later served as an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, and held positions in churches across the U.S. during his career, settling in Downey in the mid 1970s. In his later years, Bob became a realtor.
He is survived by his spouse, Clement Cheung; three children, Kimberly, Mark and Jason; nine grandchildren; his siblings, Donald, Thomas and Joann; and friend Joyce Stiles.
