Robert Elliott Garstang

 April 3, 1945 to December28, 2015

Robert Elliot Garstang of Vista, California passed away on December 28, 2015. Robert was born in South Gate, California and grew up in Downey. He resided in Lakewood for many years, and, six years ago, moved to Vista with his life partner, Donna Blackmon.  Robert was loved and will be missed terribly by his friends and family: Kurt and Lorraine Pickus; Janet Garstang; Don and Mary Garstang; Kirsten Pickus and Stephanie Fisher and Mattea Pickus Fisher; Derek and Kristen Pickus and Zane and Aaron Pickus; and Huckleberry, his loyal sidekick. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 6 at 11:00 am at Bethany Christian Reformed Church 17054 Bixby Avenue, Bellflower, Ca 90706. Donations in Robert’s name can be made to the San Diego Humane Society, the organization from which he and Huckleberry adopted each other.
