Rental prices continue upward climb in Downey

DOWNEY – The average monthly rent for a two-bedroom apartment in Downey has reached $2,021, a 0.5% increase from the same time last year, according to statistics released today by Apartment List.

A one-bedroom apartment in Downey goes for an average of $1,573.

Despite the increase, Downey’s year-over-year rent growth lags the state average of 1.1%, as well as the national average of 1.4%.

Of the 10 Los Angeles metro cities analyzed by Apartment List, eight saw increases in monthly rental costs.
