Relay for Life this weekend

DOWNEY - The American Cancer Society's signature fundraiser, the Relay for Life, will be held on the track field at Downey Adult School this weekend.The 24-hour walk begins at 9 a.m. Saturday with a first lap symbolizing the unity in cancer survivors' hope for a cure. There will be games, prizes, music, a jumper for the kids, and broadcasts from radio stations all day Saturday. A candlelight ceremony will take place at 9 p.m. to honor the memory of those who have died from cancer. The fundraiser will end at 9 a.m. Sunday.
