Relay for Life kicks off June 5

DOWNEY - Downey Adult School will host the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life fundraiser June 5.Relay for Life is an event in which teams keep at least one member on the track for a period of 24 hours. At dusk, a candle-light vigil is held to honor those who have died of cancer. The American Cancer Society has set a goal of $100,000 and 2,000 participants at this year's fundraiser in Downey.
