Registration opens for week-long Easter Caravan

DOWNEY — The 53rd annual Easter Caravan is scheduled for April 12-18 and registration is now underway, organizers announced.
Boys in grades 6-9 will spend a week along the banks of Lake Mohave.
Activities include water skiing, wakeboarding, boating, kayaking, swimming, hiking, camping, inner tubing, mountain biking and paddle boarding.
Easter Caravan was previously offered by the Downey YMCA but the program is now under the control of the Downey Foundation for Educational Opportunities.
The program cost is $125 per student and the camp is limited to 60 kids. Register at eastercaravan.com.
Easter Caravan staff is composed of Scott Winningham (director), Tod Corrin, Charles Gregorio, Jim Sannebeck, Dean Stivers, Angel Villegas and Bob Welt.
