Razorbacks start registration next week

DOWNEY – The Downey Razorbacks will hold registration for the 2015 season at its annual “Back to Football Night” this Wednesday, March 11, at 7 p.m. at the Rio Hondo Event Center. Now in its 55th year, the Razorbacks offer flag football, tackle football and cheerleading to boys and girls ages 5-14.

All equipment is provided on loan to participants. Payment plans are available, and raffle tickets can be sold to offset the cost of registration. No kids will be turned away due to cost.

Practices start July 27 at Rio San Gabriel Park under real sports lights. The season opens Sept. 12 and all home games are played at Downey and Warren high schools.

The Razorbacks are part of the Pacific Coast Conference, which is a member of American Youth Football, the largest youth football organization in America with teams in all 50 states and 13 countries.
