Razorbacks set to open season

DOWNEY - The Downey Razorbacks open their 52nd season of youth football in Downey this Saturday in the Downey High stadium.Games start at 8 a.m. at the flag level, followed by tackle football games at 9:30 a.m. New games start every two hours with the final game starting at 7:30 p.m. Games are free and open to the public. Teams from Downey and cities throughout Southern California will participate. A raffle will be held Saturday with a chance to win $5,000. Tickets can be purchased at the stadium. The Razorbacks belong to the Pacific Coast Conference, which is part of American Youth Football, the largest youth football organization in the world.
