Razorbacks announce 2018 board leadership

DOWNEY -- Downey Youth Football -- also known as the Downey Razorbacks -- has announced its officers for the 2018 season. 

Officers serve two-year terms. New officers include Luis Vasquez, treasurer; Cathy Godinez, first vice president; and Jason Barnette, athletic director. 

They join Carlos Carerra, second vice president; Kim Barnette, secretary; and Louis Morales, president, who will serve as president for an unprecedented 20th consecutive year. 

Kick-off for the 2018 season will take place at “Back to Football Night” on Wednesday, March 14, at 7 p.m. at the Rio Hondo Event Center. 

Practices start July 30 and the first game is Sept. 9. All home games are played at Downey and Warren high schools. 

The Downey Razorbacks are part of the Pacific Coast Conference, which is a member of American Youth Football and the largest youth football organization in America with teams in all 50 states and 13 countries.
