Prices for birth, death records go up

NORWALK - The county clerk has raised its prices by $2 for certified copies of birth and death records.Effective Jan. 1, birth records cost $21 and death records $14. Prices will increase an additional $2 Jan. 1, 2013 and Jan. 1, 2014. Gov. Jerry Brown approved the rate hikes this year as a way to raise money for the state. Birth and death records can be obtained at Norwalk Superior Court.
