Police seek public help finding senior citizen missing in Downey

DOWNEY — Downey police asked for public help Thursday finding a missing 67-year-old man who has difficulty communicating verbally.

Rafael Cortez was last seen around 6 a.m. July 19 at his residence at 8423 Everest St., according to the Downey Police Department.

Detectives described him as a 5-foot-tall Hispanic man weighing 130 pounds with black hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt with "Clark's Auto" on the back, along with black pants.
