Police release description of suspected shooter

DOWNEY — Authorities today released a description of the suspected shooter responsible for wounding four people at Mambo Grill early Saturday.

The man is described as Hispanic with a light complexion, light beard, approximately 25-35 years old, standing between 5 ft. 7 inches and 6 feet tall, and weighing between 160-195 lbs.

He was last seen wearing a gray or white t-shirt, dark jeans, a white and purple Colorado Rockies baseball cap, gold chain, and white and gray Nike Air Jordan 1 sneakers.

His companion is a female Hispanic about 25-35 years old, 5 ft. 3 to 5 ft. 6 inches tall, 115-150 lbs., with black hair. She was wearing a black long-sleeve top, black pants and black high heels.

Sources told the Downey Patriot the man was kicked out of Mambo Grill restaurant before he returned and open fire. The woman is listed as a person of interest.

Four victims remain hospitalized Saturday in critical but stable condition.
