Police pursuit ends with crash into Downey home

A police pursuit early Monday morning came to a violent end when the suspect vehicle crashed into a Downey apartment complex.

Bell Gardens police officers chased the DUI suspect into Downey city limits at about midnight. The chase ended when the suspect crashed the Chevy Avalanche into an apartment building on Florence Avenue and Wiley Burke Avenue.

At least one person was hospitalized. The driver was arrested.
