Police arrest Inglewood man in stabbing death
DOWNEY - A 21-year-old Downey man was stabbed to death Wednesday night, and one person has been arrested for his death.Police officers responded to a disturbance call at an apartment complex on the 12500 block of Paramount Boulevard at about 10:25 p.m., the Downey Police Department said in a news release. Officers found Trent Lee Kelley lying on the second floor landing of the complex, suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper torso, the release said. Downey paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. Following an "intensive investigation," Malik Luther Wilson, 20, of Inglewood, was identified as a suspect. He turned himself in at the Downey Police Station and is facing homicide charges. Police said they are not releasing further details surrounding the investigation. The Los Angeles County Coroner is also investigating the death.
