PIH names president of Downey hospital campus
DOWNEY — Richard Trogman has joined PIH Health as System Chief Operating Officer (COO) & President of PIH Health Hospital - Downey.
Trogman is a seasoned healthcare executive with 29 years of progressive healthcare experience. He joins PIH Health from Kaiser Foundation Health Plan where he served as the chief operating officer of the Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center. His first day with PIH Health will be Monday, Oct. 7.

Trogman will be responsible for strategic management of PIH Health pharmacies, supply chain management, facilities and other operational services. He will also have direct daily oversight of the Downey hospital campus, including management of Nursing Administration.
Trogman’s previous roles with Kaiser Permanente included Interim Regional Vice President/COO of the Colorado Region; Regional Executive, Support Services; and Regional Operations Support Leader.
Richard received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master of Science Degree in Health Administration from California State University, Northridge. He has completed several Kaiser Permanente executive programs including a Leadership Program at Harvard Business School.
