PIH Health gifts $20,000 to Downey’s TLC Center
DOWNEY — PIH Health Downey Hospital presented Downey Unified School District’s TLC Family Resource Center with a $20,000 gift last week.
TLC was founded 20 years ago and today supports the health and social service needs of approximately 1,500 Downey Unified School District students and their families.
This donation is part of PIH Health Downey Hospital’s Centennial celebration. Since 2015, PIH Health has been a proud partner and sponsor of the TLC Family Resource Center. Most recently, during the COVID-19 pandemic, PIH Health joined forces with TLC to meet the food security and mental health needs of Downey Unified School District students and their families.
“PIH Health Downey Hospital is pleased to support Downey Unified School District’s TLC Family Resource Center, an organization that positively impacts the lives of so many students and the family members,” said Richard Trogman, PIH Health Downey Hospital president. “TLC Family Resource Center’s commitment to serving our community makes us proud to support them. We are grateful for their contributions to the health and well-being of our community and their dedication to local students and their families.”
TLC leadership also serves on PIH Health’s Community Benefit oversight committee which reviews all of the hospital’s community health improvement efforts.
