Pedestrian killed in traffic collision on Firestone Boulevard

DOWNEY — Police are investigating a traffic collision that left a pedestrian dead in the evening hours of April 21.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:40 pm on Firestone Boulevard near Pangborn Avenue. The victim was described as 50 years old and possibly of Bell Gardens.

According to Downey Police Department, the driver remained on scene. No information about the driver is available at this time.
