Patty Rodriguez visiting Downey library

DOWNEY – Patty Rodriguez, a radio producer and author of the Lil’ Libros line of children’s books, will be at the Downey City Library Saturday, Feb. 23, from 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Rodriguez founded Lil’ Libros to introduce children to bilingualism and Latin American culture through picture books.

The books honor such figures as Mexican painter Frida Kahlo and Cuban music icon Celia Cruz through stories told in English and Spanish.

In addition to being an author, Rodriguez can be heard every morning on KIIS-FM’s “On Air with Ryan Seacrest.”

Copies of her books will be available for purchase.
