Park program for kids during spring break

DOWNEY - The city of Downey's Parks and Recreation Department is offering a spring break program for kids April 9-13.The program, titled "Spring Break Fun at the Parks - Spring Spectacular," is free for kids ages 6-12. Children will enjoy daily outdoor activities, including arts and crafts, and lunch with the leader (bring your own lunch). The program runs from 12-5 p.m. at Apollo, Dennis the Menace, Furman, Golden and Rio San Gabriel parks, and from 12:30-4:30 p.m. at Brookshire Park.
