Norwalk student to intern in D.C.

NORWALK - Norwalk resident Alfonso Alfaro, a student at UCLA, has been selected to intern with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute in Washington, D.C.Alfaro will join 15 other university students assigned to congressional offices on Capitol Hill for 12 weeks starting next August. "I never thought I'd have the ability to travel to our nation's capital and intern for our elected officials, because my family and I don't have that financial capacity," said Alfaro. Alfaro is majoring in history and Spanish with a minor in global studies. He will intern with the office of Rep. Grace Napolitano.
