Nominations open for 'Business of the Year

DOWNEY - The Downey Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for its annual Business of the Year awards given annually to large and small businesses.To be eligible, recipients must have been in business in Downey for at least five years and demonstrated "continual contributions to the community and to a variety of organizations...through the use of his/her personal time or other resources during the period of July 2010 - June 2011." The chamber's board of directors will choose the winners. Nomination deadline is June 17. For more information, call the chamber at (562) 923-2191.
