No suspects found after reported home invasion

DOWNEY -- Downey Police are investigating a reported home invasion robbery that allegedly occurred near Brunache Street and Rives Avenue on Friday afternoon. A male homeowner told police he saw two men and a woman walk to the front door of his home on Brunache Street. The two men allegedly were carrying handguns.

The homeowner told police the three suspects entered the house and demanded money, but he managed to escape and call 911.

Police said they arrived at the home within two minutes of the 911 call and set up a containment around the house. Sheriff's SWAT members eventually entered the home but found it empty.

Police said it's unknown if any property was taken from the home, and no vehicles were seen arriving or leaving the property. The homeowner suffered no injuries.

The homeowner described the suspects as two Hispanic men in their mid-20s wearing dark hoodies, and a white or Hispanic woman in her mid-20s wearing a black and white hoodie.
