No signs of trauma found on dead body, police say

DOWNEY – A man found dead early this morning on Woodruff Avenue didn’t suffer major injuries and there are no obvious signs of foul play, according to police.

The body was reported to police at around 5 a.m. Police officers found the man on Woodruff Avenue, just south of Stewart & Gray Road.

Police identified the man as African American, approximately 40 years old.

The L.A. County coroner’s office will determine a cause of death. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Richard Garcia at (562) 904-2330.
