January 21, 1934 - January 1, 2020

Neomi (Lara) Hall, 85, a long time resident of Downey, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 in Greendale, Indiana. She was born January 21, 1934 in Galveston, Texas, daughter of the late Juan and Elia (Mendoza) Lara.
She loved to play piano and sing. She was a joyful, loving, and vibrant lady. She was an active participant in different activities through the Downey Senior Citizen Center and a volunteer at the Public Library in Downey and Indiana. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Bellflower, CA.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Hall of Greendale, IN; 2 grandchildren, Tyler Lemmel, Niki Lemmel and her 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Juan Lara, mother, Elia Lara, and her brother, Isaiah Lara.
A Celebration of Life – Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11:00AM at Calvary Baptist Church of Bellflower, CA. Funeral services were held at Greendale First Baptist Church, Saturday, January 18, 2020.
