Nancy Lou (Hartmann) Spilsbury

Nancy Lou (Hartmann) Spilsbury was born August 17th, 1942 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. She passed from this life February 18th, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonid Hartmann and Cecilia Elizabeth (Kummer) Hartmann. She leaves behind her husband of 54 years, David Francis Spilsbury Jr., sons Daniel Scott (Caren), Gary Kevin (Lisa) and Carl Wayne. Grandchildren Daniel Jr., Aubrey, Michelle (Angel), Ronnie (Vanessa), Kaleigh, Jessica, Annabelle, Gwen, and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Nancy moved with her parents to Downey California in 1950 at 8 years old. She attended and graduated from Downey High School in 1960. After her marraige to David they purchased their home in Downey where she lived until her passing. Nancy was active in the Imperial Eights Square Dance Group and Warren High School Bear Bingo. After she retired from 7Up Company she spent her time with her many grandchildren teaching them sewing and crocheting skills. She also had a love of camping and could be found with her husband David and other family members in many different campgrounds throughout California.

Services will be Friday, February 27th 10:00am at Miller-Mies Mortuary at 10229 Paramount Blvd. Downey CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Downey Meals on Wheels or The First Church of Christ Scientist.
