Mothers of preschoolers meet

DOWNEY - The local chapter of MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) will begin a new semester of meetings starting Oct. 14 at Downey First Christian Church.MOPS offers an "encouraging and accepting atmosphere" will mothers can participate in group discussions and build supportive relationships with other moms. MOPS will meet on the second and fourth Thursday of every month from 6-8 p.m. at Downey First Christian Church. The first meeting on Oct. 16 will include dinner, child care and a free welcome gift for every mother in attendance.
