Mother of Warren High principal found safe

FOUNTAIN VALLEY - A 71-year-old woman with dementia, who went missing in Fountain Valley in her husband's car, has been found, authorities said Sunday.

The California Highway Patrol, which issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Fountain Valley Police Department, did not release when or where Linda Jeanne White was located.

White is the mother of Warren High School principal Cari White.

White left her Fountain Valley house about 10 a.m. Friday in a black 2019 Hyundai Elantra with California license plate 8LXS208, registered to her husband, David Weld, said Fountain Valley police Sgt. Henry Hsu.

She takes daily medications and left without a cell phone, identification or money, Hsu said.

The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
