More to clean up

Dear Editor:While reading the Patriot online, I noticed an article stating that the mayor had directed his staff to "find a way to make news rack locations in the city more attractive." ("Stricter Restrictions on Newspaper Racks," 9/25/09) I'm with the mayor on this, and while he's at it, let's clean up all the unattractive bus stops throughout the city. But newspaper racks just sounds too simple. How about his staff making all the half-completed and vacant, unkempt homes that are found in every part of the city more attractive? Yeah, but then we'd still have unattractive racks. - Ed Romero, Downey
