'Midtown Men' performing '60s hits in Cerritos
CERRITOS – As original cast members of Broadway’s "Jersey Boys," they took the world by storm. In 2009, they struck out on their own as The Midtown Men.
Now they’re returning to the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, Nov. 6, 7 p.m. Tickets, starting at $50, are available at the CCPA Ticket Office and cerritoscenter.com or by calling (562) 467-8818. This performance is not affiliated with the Jersey Boys show.
Not affiliated with the "Jersey Boys" show, The Midtown Men bring to life its favorite ’60s hits from The Beatles, Beach Boys, Motown, and The Four Seasons, including "Can’t Buy Me Love," "Big Girls Don’t Cry," and "Bye Bye Baby."
The ensemble has an “air of the Rat Pack, Motown and a nightclub act rolled into one,” proclaimed The New York Times.
During their time in "Jersey Boys," the four men shared the stage for more than 1,000 performances, including appearances on the "Today Show," "The Late Show With David Letterman," and "Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve."
The critically acclaimed "The Midtown Men: Sixties Hits" album features the group performing iconic ’60s hits "Up on the Roof," "Time of the Season," "Candy Girl," "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do," "Happy Together," and "California Dreamin’."
