Meet the 2019 Downey Razorbacks coaches

DOWNEY — The Downey Razorbacks, also known as Downey Youth Football, will host its annual parent meeting and coaches meet-and-greet this Saturday, July 20, at 10 a.m. at Rio San Gabriel Park.

The Razorbacks program is celebrating its 59th season this year. Practices begin July 29 and the first game is scheduled for Sept. 8.

There is still time to sign-up. Flag football, tackle football and cheerleading is open to boys and girls ages 5-14.

Registration is $220 for tackle football and cheer, and $180 for flag football. Registration fees include trophy, league picture package, yearbook, and game socks. Equipment is provided to players on loan.

Payment plans are available and kids can also sell raffle tickets to offset the cost of registration. No child is turned away due to inability to pay.
