Measure K grows lead in latest update
DOWNEY — Measure K, a $504 million bond measure to renovate Downey Unified School District campuses, extended its lead according to the latest vote totals released Thursday by the L.A. County Registrar-Recorder.
The latest tally has Measure K at 55.65% approval, up from 55.42% on Tuesday.
The bond requires 55% approval to win.
Election officials are scheduled to update the results every Tuesday and Friday through Dec. 2 until all votes are counted.
As of Thursday, an estimated 883,300 ballots remain uncounted across all of Los Angeles County. Most of these are vote by mail ballots that were received by the U.S. Postal Service through Election Day or returned in person at a ballot drop-off location or vote center.
