Measure D town hall set for next Thursday

DOWNEY — A town hall meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 17, at 6:30 pm to discuss Measure D, a proposed quarter-cent sales tax to bolster Downey’s public safety.

The town hall will be held at Stonewood Center, near the former Sears.

Residents will be able to learn about Measure D, ask questions and learn how the revenue would be used in Downey.
