Hello Downey,

As my term as mayor for the City of Downey comes to an end, I would like to thank everyone who gave me the opportunity to serve this great city. My success as Mayor could not have been possible without the support from my council colleagues and from our amazing city staff.

2020 has brought about many challenges but along every step of the way city staff has been there to help me keep residents informed and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Former Lakers Coach Phil Jackson once said “The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.”

I leave my position as Mayor immensely proud of our City team and enthusiastic for Downey’s future. Thank you for putting your trust in me this year. It has been a dream and an honor to serve as your Mayor.
