Matias completes basic training

SAN ANTONIO - Air Force Airman Patrick Matias has completed basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Tex.Matias completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Matias earned four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Matias is the son of Downey residents Anthony and Hazel Matias.
