Born Marcella Kroupa in Jackson Minnesota on December 10, 1920, she moved to Los Angeles around 1940, after graduating with honors from college in Twin Cities, Minnesota. Marcy Kroupa McMahon passed away March 14, 2021. Funeral was held in April 2021. Mary had just celebrated her 100th Centenarian.

Marcy’s wishes were to be cremated, and her urn will rest at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange, Calif. Marcella ( Marcy) Worshek Kroupa McMahon, lived in Jackson, Minn from 1920-1940, were she made a new life and married in Los Angeles, Ca. to Raymond McMahon. She lived in 3 cities in Calif: Downey- Palos Verdes and for 45 yrs in the city of Cerritos. Mom had 4 sons and was employed as nurse and legal secretary. Marcy lived in Downey from 1948-1965, purchased Zyler Model Home on Christmas 1948. Employed at Gallatin Medical, Downey, as a nurse. She also commuted to downtown Los Angeles, employed as a legal secretary, along with working at Rockwell in Downey. Mom’s favorite things in Downey: Her cousin owned Stonewood Center; plus Mom’s home and neighborhood were on many Christmas Routes, as her home was by Rives/Stewart n Gray Roads, heart of Christmas Contests.

Marcy loved her gardens and traveled a great deal in their RV Bus. Mom wanted to live on to least 105 YO, but on Jan 20, 2021, she took the Fluzone Shot for Covid19 and got a deadly reaction, her body froze like polio and we lost her on 14th March, 2021. Mom prayed the rosary daily, even prayed the rosary few hours before her death.

Mom received a special 100 Year plaque : City of Cerritos and County of Los Angeles. March 25, 2021, city of Cerritos Council, read her obituary to the city on TV, paying special tribute to our mom.

Some of mom’s cousins who may still be living in or around Downey : Kroupas, Worshek, Timko, Veercamps. Mom attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and St Raymond’s Church. She sat on many guilds. Her sons were baptized and received First Communion at St Raymond, were they attended school.

She was preceded in death by 2 of her sons, husband Ray McMahon and her parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. She has 2 remaining sons, Jim n Ken living in Cerritos, Ca.
