Man killed by hit-and-run driver at bus stop in Santa Fe Springs

SANTA FE SPRINGS — A man was killed by a hit-and-run driver who slammed into a bus stop Saturday in Santa Fe Springs.

The crash happened around 4:10 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Shoemaker Avenue and Telegraph Road, according to a news photographer at the scene.

There was no immediate word on the age of the victim. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The driver fled the scene on foot. Police do not yet have a description of the motorist.
