Madolyn Grover was hospital LVN
DOWNEY – Madolyn Lucile Hudson Stewart Grover passed away on Feb. 3 at 10 p.m. at Ramona Rehab Center in Hemet from Myeloma (bone marrow cancer).
She was born in Casper, Wyoming to Egbert and Jaunita Stewart. She married the late Harry Patrick Grover on Jan. 17, 1942 in Las Vegas, Nev.
She is survived by two sons, three granddaughters and one great-granddaughter: Gary Grover married to Carol; granddaughter Cynthia Guthrie married to Randy; great granddaughter Kylee; Patrick Grover married to Patty; granddaughter Tricia married to Charles Almlron; and granddaughter Krista married to Quentin Murphy.
She ws predeceased by a son, Randy Grover, in 2012, and a grandson, Mathew Grover, in 1998.
Madolyn lived in Compton until 1968, when she moved to Downey. She moved to Hemet in 2013. She worked as an LVN at St. Francis Hospital in Lynwood for many years.
For many years Madolyn and Pat worked on behalf of people with Down syndrome. In lieu of flowers, family asked for donations to The Arc Los Angeles & Orange Counties, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation will be held Feb. 11 from 10:-11:45 a.m., followed be graveside services from 1-2:15 p.m. at Rose Hills.
