Lorine Parks wins poetry award

DOWNEY - Lorine Parks recently won the Donald Drury Award in creative writing administered by Long Beach City College Foundation.She won for her poetry which "shows outstanding merit in the genre." Parks has been attending a credit course in creative writing at LBCC for teacher credential purposes. She has long been a poetry contributor to this paper.
