Longtime resident Betty Morrison passes away

DOWNEY – Betty Louise Morrison, born Oct. 3, 1925, passed away Nov. 8. Originally from Wisconsin, she moved to California before her senior year of high school. 

She was a Downey resident for the past 50 years, living in the same home for 40 years. She worked at a company called Tubesales in the City of Commerce for more than 30 years from where she retired at the age of 64 to spend time with her grandkids. 

She was preceded in death by her only son, Billy; her parents; and two brothers, Bob and Jack. 
She is survived by her only daughter, Susan; son-in-law, Randall; and grandchildren, Haley and Andrew.
