Long light

Dear Editor:I have no idea what's involved in changing the timing of a traffic signal; perhaps the expense is too far down the list of priorities, but I have a suggestion for one of them. The signal on Old River School Road and Laura Street has very strange timing, especially now that school is out. At night it shows green for quite some time for the school parking lot, which is empty and closed, while remaining red for Laura, which has very little traffic - but at least it's open, while holding up traffic on Old River School Road. Is there any likelihood of an adjustment on this? -- Gary E. Myers, Downey
