Lions Club marks Flag Day

NORWALK - The Norwalk Lions Club held its annual Flag Day event at John H. Nuffer Elementary School on Feb. 15.More than 400 children gathered to learn about the United States flag. Each student received a 4x6 inch American flag. The Lions Club also led students in the Pledge of Allegiance and songs. Since 1978, Lions Club Flag Day has been held around the country, with local club chapters partnering with schools. The Norwalk Lions Club meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at Bruce's Prime Rib. For more information, call club president Gabe Silva at (562) 857-2198.
