Library silent auction is now live
DOWNEY — Bidding is now open for the monthly silent auction benefiting the Friends of the Downey City Library.
The auction closes at 12 pm on Oct. 30. Bids can be placed inside the Friends bookstore located inside the library.
This month’s auction items include:
“P.T. Barnum, America’s Greatest Showman,” by Philip B. Kunhardt Jr. Minimum bid: $8
“Speaking American, How Ya’ll, Youse and You Guys Talk,” by Josh Katz. Minimum bid: $6
“Dracula” by Bram Stoker. Minimum bid $8
“The Complete Sherlock Holmes,” by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Minimum bid: $15
“The American Heritage Chronicle of the Great Wars,” by American Heritage and Bonanza Books. Minimum bid: $15
“The Who’s Tommy: The Musical,” by Pete Townsend. Minimum bid: $8
“Moby Dick,” by Herman Melville. Minimum bid: $12
