Library bookstore stocks up on cookbooks

DOWNEY – The Friends of the Downey City Library, which raises money to support library programs, is having a sale on its cookbooks and craft books. Some of the cookbooks are what are known as “community cookbooks” from local churches and civic organizations.

Others are of well-known TV chefs like Rachel Ray and Martha Stewart.

The craft books have easy-to-make ideas for the holidays.

Books range in price from $1-$10 and can be purchased in the used bookstore located inside the library.
