Library auction items on preview

DOWNEY - Silent auction items to benefit the Downey City Library are now available for preview in the library's foyer.Items include "Anne of Green Gables" by L.M. Montgomery, the story of an 11-year-old freckled, red-haired and highly-opinionated orphan; "The Land of Ireland" by Brian de Breffny contains quotations from ancient sagas, travel journals and poems both ancient and modern taking you to the emerald isle; and "The Home Planet" conceived and edited by Kevin W. Kelley, through photographs Earth as seen from space along with stars and other planets in relation to Earth. Bids can be placed inside the Friends Book Store located inside the library until March 27.
